The Great Lakes
This part of the world is truly a unique one. From the jaw-dropping sunsets over Lake Michigan to the atmospheric sunrises over Huron and Erie, Great Lakes residents have been blessed with some of the most beautiful coastal environments on earth. This includes: the world’s longest freshwater beaches; North America’s largest coastal sand dunes; dramatic limestone, dolomite, granite, and sandstone cliffs towering hundreds of feet above crystal clear waters; immaculate coves and inlets; singing sands backed by maples and pines; the beautiful but deadly gales of November; the oldest active shipping fleet on earth; and by far the world’s best collection of lighthouses. Few places offer as much outdoor recreation as the Great Lakes. It would take a whole lifetime to see all the lakes have to offer, and you still would fall short. Great Lakes, Great Times.
